I want to take the listener on a journey through some part of my day. I was originally thinking of doing a type of "taking the dog on a walk" song with the sounds of starting at the house, going outside on a walk with dog and/or walking noises. I was thinking of maybe adding smoking sounds as if I am smoking a joint on the walk. Then we would head back inside and hear the sounds of the house again. This was my first idea, but then I didn’t know if it would be long enough to reach 4:33 with the sounds given.
My second idea to take the listener on a journey would be inspired by a lazy sunday. Dreaming, waking up, making breakfast, doing chores like dishes and laundry are all things that are casual, lazy-day activities that people can relate to the theme and vibe of the song. As the song continues it would move through the morning to later in the day with homework, taking the dog on a short walk (to keep my original idea), and coming home. Then the song would travel to the later portion of the evening with background noises, tv, roommates, smoking, wine glasses, and noises that all signify relaxing and no longer doing chores.
These two ideas are very similar, but I think since one has both ideas I am going to do the latter idea. This way there is a stronger theme and story to tell through the four minutes and thirty-three seconds.
Im not sure what effects to work with, but this is the starting ideas for the morning to evening.
